SHKODER FEEDING CENTER
Our director, Fredi Zefi, has a huge heart for his community beyond even the work he does with orphans. Over the past couple of years, Fredi has begun a ministry to the Roma gypsy population living in a small village across the river from the main city. “I remember sitting down with the chief of the village and having coffee with him asking us to come and help his village. He handed us his little baby and told us he wanted to make things better for her.” Kerri Mullins
Hope for the World, in partnership with the Food Bank, and Fjala Foundation from Bible Baptist Church (Fredi and Prenda’s local church) started providing much-needed food items to those in need. It has now grown to occupy a new building provided by the municipality of Shkoder, where we provide food daily to children in the surrounding villages, we help them with their homework and teach a bible lesson to them. We also continue to provide food and even medical help. We have even been able to share the love of Christ with the parents.
We are so thrilled at the way this new ministry has thrived and we are beginning to see a primarily Muslim population open up to the love of Christ.
